2020 Masterson Station Pool Update
Posted on Jun 25th, 2020
Social distancing and additional safety requirements (including routine cleaning, use of masks, and avoiding shared spaces) remain in place for the foreseeable future. In light of these requirements and ongoing uncertainty about the pandemic—including the possibility of a “second wave” of infections once restrictions are lifted—the Board reviewed all relevant factors and voted to keep the pool closed through this summer in order to protect the health and safety of MSNA members and guests. Of particular concern to the Board, in addition to the difficulty of enforcing social distancing orders, is the impracticability of cleaning (and keeping clean) the clubhouse and pool area during hours of use.
The Board did not reach this decision lightly, and understands that some members will be disappointed in this decision. However, the Association’s overarching purpose as set forth in its Articles of Incorporation is “to promote the social welfare and serve the common good and general welfare of the owners of lots in the Masterson Station Subdivision.” The Board believes this decision is best for the welfare and health of members, and looks forward to reopening the pool next year.
